Yes, we’re based in Sydney, Australia. Most of our contributors are based here too, however, we do have some located interstate and o/s. We aim not to limit ourselves by our geographical location. Although some pieces have a local focus, most are relevant to the worldwide arts community.

For example, we accept fiction and poetry submissions from around the globe. Most literature is not constrained by physical boundaries! Similarly, our literature and music reviews appeal to a general, not local, audience.

We enjoy highlighting what Sydney has to offer, but we look beyond our own city for content and inspiration. No matter where you’re from, I’m sure there is something for you in PAN.

It’s probably worth having something on your about page stating where the magazine is based and where the focus of contributors is, it’s only by seeing some of your blog posts reference sydney events that I assume you are based in Australia. Is the content based on Sydney, Australia, or world wide (eg emerging artists)?

I have one of these bags and use it all the time. You can fit so much in it! It’s especially good for big bulky school books, which I seem to have to carry around more than I would like to. Also, although you can fit a lot of things in it, it is not the kind of bag where things hide in corners.

Vanessa, goodness! That sounds like an inappropriate photographer. I’m glad they didn’t show because I’m sure at least 50% of us would stopped to have a think about it…

Looks interesting! We maintain a listing of serials that take poetry, and it looks like we should add Pan. I imagine you pay in cc’s? If you could let me know the publication frequency and what rights you require (e.g. one-time exclusive first use), I’ll put it on the list. At $12.50/issue, I presume, or do you intend to offer a subscription? Cheers, Rob.
